Dr. Svino is a gifted clinician, having studied with the top aesthetic and cosmetic dentists in the world. She is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association and other local dental organizations. Dr. Svino is also on the board for the Nordic Heritage Museum and currently serves as the Vice-President on the board of directors for the Seattle King County Dental Society.
Dr. Svino earned her doctorate from the University of Pacific in San Francisco, California, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Reed College in Portland, Oregon. She also studied in Norway for a year after graduation from high school. After 20 years away, she returned home to the Seattle area.
Dr. Svino speaks fluent Norwegian and is active in a number of local Norwegian organizations such as the Norwegian American Chamber of Commerce and the Norwegian Commercial Club. Dr. Svino is married to Ernie who is also Norwegian and a retired Commercial Fisherman. They live in Shoreline with his youngest son Kaare and their Maltese named Flossie. Outside of the office she enjoys skiing in Whistler with her family, summer boating and knitting.
